In order to provide additional programs to the public, the North Chatham Free Library sought to better use its basement by removing columns and raising the ceiling, adding an elevator that would serve each level and including amenities such as a kitchenette and concealed, swinging display panels for art showings. A laser cut wood model and interior renderings were produced to encourage stakeholder support for the project. The Library is currently seeking additional funding for the project.
